Denise Capezza Schauspielerin
I was born in Napoli (Italy) and trained in classical dance for 15 years. I later shifted my focus to acting and trained at drama school. At 21, I moved to Istanbul after being cast as the lead in the Turkish TV series Uçurum. I learned Turkish in a short time and worked in Turkey for 3.5 years on several television and film projects.
In 2015, I returned to Italy to play Marinella in Gomorrah – The Series. Since then, I have worked across film, television and theatre, both in Italy and internationally. Recent credits include Crimes of the Future by David Cronenberg, Unwanted directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, and Diva Futura by Giulia Steigerwalt, selected in competition at the 2024 Venice Film Festival.
I’m interested in portraying women in all their contradictions: strong, fragile, ironic, grounded or extreme. I believe in transformation as a core part of acting and in crossing boundaries rather than reinforcing them.
Outside of acting, I value a life that stays in motion. I’m learning guitar and Spanish, I write, continue to dance, and train regularly as an actor. Curiosity is the engine that keeps me moving.
